Billy Hume is a record producer, mixer, musician and songwriter from Atlanta, GA., who currently owns and operates "The Zone" studios in Atlanta, GA. Billy Hume has worked with multiple artists, including Ying Yang Twins, David Banner, Bonecrusher, Lil Jon, Rich Boy, Al Kapone, Nelly, Will Smith, Ludacris, Magic, Shop Boyz, Rehab, Left Front Tire, Sound Tribe Sector 9, and Flickerstick. As the owner of the Zone Studios in Atlanta, GA, this writer/producer/mixer extraordinare quietly but consistently engineered and mixed many of the radio singles and club tracks that helped put Atlanta at the top of the Urban music market. Using a slow burn approach, coupled with his skills behind the board and his vast knowledge of other genres, Billy has quickly become recognized as a pioneer in the industry. Most recently Hume has been thrust into the spotlight with his contributions to the guitar-driven tracks "Party Like a Rockstar" (Shop Boyz) and "Rock On" (Montana), opening the door to his production of several upcoming genre-busting projects in 2007 that combine live Rock instrumentation with raw Urban beats.
