Reverend William C. Banuchi Sr. (Bill Banuchi) is an evangelist and co-founder along with his wife, Penny, of the Marriage & Family Savers Institute, based in Newburgh, NY. The mission of the institute is to save marriages and restore families through seminars, education, teaching and preaching Biblical principles to advance a peaceful, prosperous and orderly society. Rev. Banuchi was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1949. He entered the Air Force during the Viet Nam conflict. He met Penny (Priscilla) in 1967, and they were married in 1968 while he was serving in the military. They have two children, Dulcinea and Bill Jr. Bill left the service in 1972 and pursued a career in mechanical design/engineering until he felt a calling to the Christian ministry. In 1982 he accepted his first pastoral charge in the United Methodist Church. In 1985 he planted a new congregation , the Highland Falls Assembly of God just outside West Point military academy, In 1992 he became more politically active heading up a county chapter of the Christian Coalition, and in 2000 he accepted the position of New York State Chairman for the Christian Coalition in which office he served until 2006. In the Institute they train marriage mentor couples, and work to protect marriage on a personal level as well as advancing pro-marriage legislation in their school of public policy. In his itinerant ministry he preaches the theme, “America Bless God,” reminding the hearers of the role God has played in American history and the Christian responsibility to acknowledge God’s sovereignty over the nation.
