Bienvenido P. Cancero is a unverified supercentenarian claimer from the Philippines. In 2008 the GSIS reported that a 117- year old Bienvenido Cancero continued to collect his monthly pension. Biography Cancero was reportedly born on January 31, 1890 in the Philippines. He has 16 children (15 living, 1 deceased). In 2008, The Philippine Star reported that Cancero was still received a pension check from Government Service Insurance System (GSIS). The government suspected fraud and required Cancero to appear in person for finger printing. After he did so the GSIS said it would continue to pay Cancero's P2,208.57 monthly pension. |
