Besmir Bega

Besmir Bega (born 22 May 1985 in Tirana) is an Albanian football striker who plays for Partizani Tirana in Albania. He has played in the United States for the Des Moines Menace and the Michigan Bucks.
Career
College and amateur
Bega grew up in Harper Woods, Michigan, attended Grosse Pointe North High School, and played for the Vardar Soccer Club, a well known youth club in Michigan. He played college soccer at Drake University in Iowa from 2003 to 2006, where he was named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman team.
Bega played for two seasons in the USL Premier Development League with the Des Moines Menace and Michigan Bucks before moving back to Albania. He initially became part of KF Tirana squad, but never played a single match for them. In January 2009 he joined Partizani Tirana.
Professional
Bega made his professional debut with Partizani Tirana on January 31, 2009 in the match against KS Bylis Ballsh. On 1 March 2009 he scored his first goal for Partizani in the match against KS Elbasani.
International
Bega has played 5 matches for the Albania U-21 in the qualifying phase for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
