Bernd Klimpel

Songwriter/composer/lyricist/producer Bernd Klimpel's story begins typically enough: As a young boy, he loved music, so he started a band.
That's the last time his story was typical, though.
Klimpel's band, Kind of Blue, went on to release two albums, compete in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 and win the award for Germany's Best Pop Record with “Beating the Morning Rush.”
And that was just the opening act of his career.
Next Klimpel began writing for other artists. Since then, he has scored sharp cuts with international superstars ranging from Lidia Kopania (Poland) to Giovanni (Germany).
Up next, he has hits-to-be with Faryl Smith of “Britain's Got Talent,” Warner rockers The Black Sheep, the new American boy band WOW being put together by 98 Degrees' managers and not one but two songs with Linda Teodosiu of “German Idol.” Plus, one of his songs with Lidia Kopania will be featured in the 2009 finals of the Eurovision Song Contest.
After that, who knows? With a cabbal of co-writers that include such hitmakers as his studio partner Alex Geringas (No Angels, Queensberry), Winston Sela (Maxi Priest, Monrose), Andy Marvel (Celine Dion), Dimitri Ehrlich (Moby), Dee Adam (Billie Myers, Newton Faulkner), Joachim Schlueter and Jan-Philipp Kelber (Aloha From Hell, Joanna Zimmer), Juergen Stiehle (Die Happy) and Charlie Mason (BoA, Leki and the Sweet Mints), for Klimpel, the sky's the limit.
And maybe not even the sky.
