Bernadette Marshall
Bernadette Marshall is an American businesswoman and the president and founder of NB Graphics & Associates, Inc., established in 1982, (DBA NBG Drafting & Design).
Ms. Marshall heads a creative team, specializing in IP Patent Drawing/Drafting, Industrial Design, Engineering Drafting, Technical Illustration, Graphic Design, Courtroom Exhibits and Product Design & Development.
Originally from South Africa, Bernadette attended the Johannesburg High School for Art, Ballet & Music, graduating in 1978. Next she acquired a National Diploma in Art & Design in 1982 from Witwatersrand Technicon, Johannesburg, the state-side equivalent to a Masters’ Degree in Graphic Design. Additionally, a Diploma in Small Business Management with First Class in Business Law, 1984, was her next step in laying the foundation for her rise in the Graphic Design & Drafting Industry.
After Graduation, she worked as a Graphic Designer for various advertising agencies; Young & Rubicam and Van Leer Packaging. She also took on freelance graphic design projects for advertising agencies such as BBDO while working full-time.
In 1989, she relocated to the United States and founded her own business, NB Graphics & Associates, Inc., out of an apartment in Norcross, GA.
To expand her offering of service, in 2013, Bernadette began doing business as NBG Drafting & Design, which focused on providing intellectual property, patent drawings and product development along with previous graphic and design disciplines.
NBG Drafting & Design prepares high-tech Design and Utility Patent drawings, Engineering Drawings, Manufacturing Drawings and Technical illustrations nationally and internationally using Autodesk software and 3D modeling.
With almost 20 years in the IP industry, Bernadette contributes regularly to the WIPO magazine (World Intellectual Property Organization magazine), sharing her collected knowledge and views for change in various IP laws and IP examining practices.
Under her guidance, she spearheads the operation of NB Graphics & Associates, Inc. In an interview with VoyageATL, she says, "whether you require an improvement to a product or an entire redesign, we have the experience and ability to create drawings from conceptual sketches to precise engineering drawings. We are able to work on projects using theoretical descriptions, sketches, photographs and/or engineering drawings and have experience in reverse engineering from prototypes or existing products."
