Berg v. Obama

Berg v. Obama is a civil action filed by Pennsylvania attorney Philip J. Berg against Barack Obama, and the Democratic National Committee, Federal Election Commission, and others. The case (02-08-CV4083) was filed in United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on 21 August, 2008. It is still pending and has attracted the attention of the media in a variety of markets.

The case abstract is:

Plaintiff Philip J. Berg alleged that Defendant Barack Obama is not eligible for the Office of the President because Obama lost his U.S. citizenship when his mother married an Indonesian citizen and naturalized in Indonesia. Plaintiff further alleged that Obama followed her naturalization and failed to take an oath of allegiance when he turned 18 years old to regain his U.S. citizenship status.

On 7 October, 2008, an attorney filed a motion to intervene on behalf of a "Jane Doe" voter in Columbus, Georgia. This plaintiff filed information that purports that Obama's Hawaiian birth certificate is a fake.
On 15 October, 2008, Judson Witham from Provo, Utah also filed a motion to intervene as a voter.

Berg believes that Obama is an illegal alien and if so should be arrested and deported.
