Ben Kissel

Ben Kissel is an American actor, comedian, political speaker, and former US political candidate known for his work on the podcast The Last Podcast on the Left, as well as several US and foreign news channels.
Life and career
Kissel was born in Steven's Point, Wisconsin and attended University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he graduated with a degree in political science.
Since 2011, Kissel has cohosted the horror/comedy podcast The Last Podcast on the Left alongside Marcus Parks and Henry Zebrowski. The trio also appear on The Last Stream on the Left on Adult Swim and perform live shows throughout the US.
Kissel identifies as an Atheist, which he references occasionally in Last Podcast, replying his catchphrase of "Hail Yourself" to "Hail Satan," and Marcus Parks' "Hail Gein."
Political Career
Having graduated UW Milwaukee with a degree in political science, Kissel has maintained an interest in politics. In 2017, Kissel ran on the reform ticket for the Borough President of Kings County, New York, gaining endorsements from both the US Libertarian and Reform parties. While he did not win the final vote, Kissel was able to overturn an anti-cross dressing law in New Jersey and maintains an open attitude of running again.
Additionally, Kissel hosts a weekly political podcast (with Last Podcast's Marcus Parks) called Abe Lincoln's Top Hat, wherein the hosts discuss a variety of political topics and their social implications.
Kissel has appeared as a "talking head" on several US and international political news shows, often on CNN, MSNBC, and RT.
