LIMS
WebBLISS.NET
The WebBLISS product was designed as an off-the-shelf query and reporting tool specially developed for Baytek International’s BLISS LIMS. It is a versatile website where users can perform a wide array of functions, from simple searches to complex laboratory searches. One of the driving forces behind the creation of WebBLISS was the need for personnel outside of the lab to easily access results. With the necessary security permissions, anyone can view lab results from WebBLISS without installing special software. Since data is server-based, a “thin client” architecture can be used to access BLISS from anywhere within the corporate network.
WebSQC.NET
Baytek created WebSQC™ to predict the future and help control a product and the process. It uses a web-based platform o view critical data and check any progress. It provides the ability to spot trends easily to adjust production sooner and reduce costly errors.

INSTRUMENTATION
AAIM
A significant portion of the ROI for a LIMS system is realized through instrument automation. Baytek International’s AAIM program was developed to provide easy-to-implement, highly manageable automation solutions for data acquisition from any laboratory instrument. AAIM allows technicians to perform many instrument management activities, like developing sequence files for several popular chromatography packages, including ChemStation™, ChromPerfect™, EZChrom™ and Millenium32™. It provides gas chromatography and autosampler control, as well as automation for many non-chromatography instruments such as the Mettler™ itrator, Precision™ ADA, and Canon™ auto viscometer. AAIM, along with Baytek International’s instrumentation services, provides a complete solution for connecting any instrument to BLISS, Baytek International’s LIMS solution .

RFID
BayID
The BayID sample tracking solution takes advantage of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology to accurately report collection time and location. The BayID tag, which can take the form of either a printed paper label or a reusable plastic hangtag, houses a standard RFID device. The BayID tag is affixed to a sample, enabling the technician to accurately identify sample collection time and location as well as its arrival time in the lab. One of the devices the tags work with is the Smart Sample Point, an active RFID collection point device developed by Baytek International. Baytek International has integrated RFID technology to work with BLISS, Baytek International’s LIMS solution.
RFIVial
Baytek International has developed a solution that leverages RFID technology to simplify the process of vial management in the laboratory environment. This toolkit, RFIVial, uses a very small RFID affixed to a GC or HPLC vial that allows for the wireless reading and writing of up to two kilobytes of information. This is enough memory to store a method and channel an instrument. This toolkit allows for sample tracking, audit trails, and chain of custody transfers within the laboratory. Baytek also wrote the software and developed hardware to allow for the reading and writing of the RFIVial at both a sample preparation station and a GC autosampler. This functionality can be expanded with the toolkit to include any location or instrument throughout the lab and facility.
