Bayku

Bayku Ribiero (born March 9, 1980 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), or simply known as Bayku, is a rap artist, a songwriter, a singer, under the music label Warrior Music. He is currently the frontrunner and CEO of Warrior Music, based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a self-dubbed “mutt”, who blends American hip-hop with cultural influences from his childhood home, Ghana.

For the past 5 years Bayku has written songs for Rich Boy, Jazze Pha, UGK, Polow, Akon, No ID, Outkast, and Lil’ John. He wrote the song “Stop N Go”, from the UGK album, which topped the Billboard 200 chart in 2006.

His home studio is ZAC Recordings, where he currently does much of his work.

Early life
Originally from Philadelphia, his father moved his family to Ghana, West Africa, at an early age to escape the troubles of life in the projects. In Ghana, he formed a hip-hop group named The Talking Drums, which became one of the number one groups in the country. The Talking Drums and its music helped him direct his focus and pursue his passion of becoming a chart-topping rap artist. At the age of 17, he left Ghana to attend Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia choosing Atlanta for its huge and diverse hip-hop scene.
