Battle of Anandpur (1703)

The Battle of Anandpur was fought on 24 February between the Sikh forces led by Guru Gobind Singh and the forces of some Hill States.

Background
In 1702, Guru Gobind Singh visited Kurukshetra, Jyotisar, Pahoe, Kare, Sayana, Chamkaur and some other villages before returning to Anandpur Sahib. The First Battle of Chamkaur occurred and a Mughal force with Hill Raja assistance were defeated. They suffered heavy casualties compared to the Sikhs. The next year, Anandpur was attacked by the Hill Rajas again.
Battle
Ajmer Chand of Bilaspur attacked the Sikhs in Anandpur in 1703. This time he was assisted by Raja Bhup Chand of Handur, Raja Wazir Singh of Chamba and Raja Dev Saran of Fatehpur.
Aftermath
was the next attack on Anandpur during the start of 1704.
