Basic Media

Basic Media, Inc. is an announced American media company in formation. The company's organization stems from a massive grassroots effort inspired by the Ron Paul Revolution movement during Republican Congressman Ron Paul's 2008 Presidential Campaign whose platform was a symbol of individual freedom and political peace for many individuals who felt lost and frustrated in the partisan two-party system of the United States. The new company is a response to the semi-blackout of Ron Paul's campaign coverage by the corporate owned mass media. However, the company's founders stated that Basic Media is not a political entity and will not be associated with Ron Paul or any other political campaigns. The stated goal of the new company is be an independent media company to carry the words and values of freedom through internet technology platforms to Americans who only receive their news and entertainment from mainstream radio and television.

History

The company organization was announced in February 2008 as a joint effort between Rick Williams, a practicing lawyer and a 1973 graduate of UCLA School of Law, and Trevor Lyman, a musician and internet music entrepreneur who became famous for organizing grassroots fundraising for Ron Paul's campaign.

IPO

The website BreakTheMatrix.com issued an initial solicitation of interest as pursuant to section 254 of Part 230—General Rules and Regulations, Securities Act of 1933. The new forming company will offer an initial public offering of 500,000 shares of common stock over the internet to the public at a price of $10 per share, with a minimum purchase requirement of 10 shares per individual purchaser. If the offering is fully subscribed and sold, the public shareholders of Basic Media, Inc. will own a total of 41.67% of the outstanding common stock of the company as of the closing date, which is yet to be announced.
