Banana Phonetic is an American post-indie, experimental rock band based in Boston, Massachusetts. History Banana Phonetic was formed in the Allston neighborhood of Boston in the summer of 2008. Originally a six-piece band, their current lineup features Akhil Bhatt (vocals, guitar, keyboards, synthesizers), Tom Mangan (guitar), Sam Doty (bass), and Andy Bickerton (drums/percussion).
