Bacchus-D

Bacchus-D is a Korean Energy Drink created and manufactured by Dong-A Pharmaceutical Corp., and is distributed in the United States by Dong-A America Co. One 100 mL (3.3 oz) bottle contains 2000 mg of taurine, twice as much as an 8 oz. can of Red Bull. Production began in 1963. Bacchus-D also contains Royal Jelly and vitamin B compounds, powerful sources of energy. It contains a very small amount of ethanol.

Although Bacchus-D has been popular in South Korea for many years, it has recently risen to prominence in North American culture alongside other popular energy drinks consumed in combination with alcohol, such as Vodka-Red Bull. The most common form of consumption is the "Bacchus Bomb," which is produced by pouring 3.3 oz of Bacchus-D into a cup and subsequently pouring a shot filled with vodka into the cup, with the resulting mixture being consumed as rapidly as possible (chugging).

Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Taurine, Inositol, Guaraná Extract, Royal Jelly, Nicotinamide, Pyridoxine HCL, Riboflavin, Sodium phosphate, Thiamine Nitrate, Sodium Benzoate (Preserves Freshness), Ethanol (0.45%), Citric Acid Anhydrous, Apple Juice, Acesulfame K, Sucralose, Sodium Chloride, Natural Essences (Orange, Pineapple, Strawberry), Artificial Flavors.
