Baby mugging

Baby mugging is the act of taking pictures of babies with mugs in the foreground at such an angle that the babies appear to be in the mugs. It was created by Ilana Wiles, a blogger for the parenting humor site MommyShorts, who wanted to find something lighter to post shortly after the Boston Marathon bombings. The popularity of the Internet meme led it to being the subject of a question on the trivia game show '. The trend later expanded to include pets and adults, and kitchen vessels other than mugs began being used.
Baby suiting
Baby suiting, a similar practice in which babies are photographed in business suits, was later created by Wiles, who was hoping to start another funny picture trend for parents. Her initial idea was to put them in clothes like the ones worn by the characters in Mad Men, but "women's clothing really didn't work".
