Azoi was a company that made medical devices for consumers. The company was founded in 2011 by Hamish Patel, Juned Munshi and Ami Karnik. It is based in San Francisco. A prototype of Azoi's first product, Wello, was unveiled when the company launched on March 6, 2014. Wello is an iPhone cover with built-in circuitry and sensors that is able to track a variety of vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level, body temperature and ECG. Lung function can also be measured using an add-on spirograph, which clips onto the side of the case using magnets. case connects to an iPhone via Bluetooth 4.0 in order to send the data it collects to a companion mobile app, which presents a user’s vital statistics as a set of numbers and graphs, charting daily, weekly and monthly readings. The product received a positive response by technology experts such as TechCrunch's Darrell Etherington, who noted that "of all the health tracking gadgets out there, Wello looks to be the first that offers a more comprehensive look at your internal workings in a package that's incredibly convenient and portable".
