Started his Radio Career in 1994 as a contributor on FM 104 Radio Pakistan Islamabad when it was two hours radio broadcast Produced by Syed Abid Hussain and hosted by Rida After, Muhammad Ali Nagi and Tauseeq Haider.
in 1995 Azhar Hussain Joined FM 100 Pakistan Radio Presenter of English show. Later in 1996 became the youngest Drive Time Presenter . Azhar Hussain was selected to get trained from Spectrum 558 am London UK on Radio Asia in 1997. During this time he produced the 1st ever Live Link between Spectrum 558 am London and FM 100 Pakistan network under the name of Karachi to Khaber via London. During this period Azhar Hussain also became the Radio Station Image builder where he used computers 1st time ever in the history of Pakistan Broadcasting Industry. 1998 He was pulled by HUM FM 106.2 UAE to be there Drive Time presenter and Production Manager. In Nov 1999 he was hired by The Pakistani Channel on SKY Digital in London as Anchor and Production Manager. That channel is now down as ARY Digital. In year 2000 Azhar Hussain moved to NJ USA where he joined WCNJ 89.3 and 91.1 FM known as EBC Radio. His Position was of Presenter and Production Manager. In 2001 Azhar Hussain Joined Broadcast Media World Inc as Program & Production Manager. in 2003 Azhar Hussain freelanced for GEO TV as Producer, Technical and Cameraperson . In 2003 Azhar Hussain produced the 1st ever TV interview for Private channel of President of Pakistan General Pervaze Musharraf in Washington D.C. USA. In 2003 he joined Connecticut Schools of Broadcasting Arlington VA campus. and after graduation became Studio Engineer and Broadcasting Instructor in the same school. In 2004 Azhar Hussain Leased air time on WUST 1120am Washington D.C. 2 hours Monday thru Friday to run Urdu/Hindi Radio show Known as Awaz Radio . that show finished in September 2004 and resumed again in April 2005 till Sep 2005. The show aired from 7pm till 9pm. during 2003 and 2006 Azhar Hussain Managed and acted as Production Manager of Many Concerts in USA east cost.
