Azad Al-Shakarchi

Azad Karsol Al-Shakarchi (; born 20 July 1953), is an Iraqi businessman and an international economic expert, established many projects of the economic, investment and educational in Europe and the Middle East.
Achieved in 2011 the largest residential project in Iraq known as "Azad City" and includes 4,600 housing units, the project is located in Kirkuk this project will contribute to solve the housing crisis afflicting the province of Kirkuk. And established a communications network "Azad Cell" which gives the Iraqi citizens all communication services, And established "Azad FX" for Stock exchange and financial transactions. And established in Erbil "Azad Steel" for the production of steel which is used in buildings, structures, and built for it a huge factory in Kurdistan at a cost of $93 million.
Early life
Azad left Iraq 35 years ago during the rule of the former Iraqi regime, which was opposed to him with a lot of opposition politicians, economists and academics, and succeeded in outside Iraq established many international companies and economic relations, investment and educational projects in Sweden, Romania, United Kingdom, Lebanon and other countries, and after the fall of the regime returned to work on Iraq building that was destroyed by wars that buffeted over the past decades, and after his return to Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region, was built several residential projects in the region and the province of Kirkuk, which contributed to the construction boom which has worked after returning to Iraq consolidating and the development of international relations between his country and the countries where he worked outside of Iraq, and was one of the first who fired the development of economic and investment relations between Iraq and Kurdistan, Lebanon, Sweden, Romania and other, is married to Jordanian university professor Dr. Serin Qutaishat, and has two sons.
