Avalon Family Entertainment

Avalon Family Entertainment is a motion picture and digital content creation company specializing in the production of family friendly movies and associated online content based in Los Angeles, California. Their creative team has collectively worked on a number of Hollywood films such as: Hook, Hansel and Gretel, and Home Alone.
The company’s productions are based on classic fairy tales; therefore, their movies usually carry a “G” or “PG” rating. Avalon is represented by The Gersh Agency and current distribution is through Screen Media Films.
Avalon employs a proprietary cross-platform development process which coordinates the intellectual property needs for multiple media types including cinema, gaming and virtual worlds. Some have called this “Transmedia storytelling”.
Jack and the Beanstalk is the first in a series of fairy tale based films produced by Avalon. It is a live-action adaptation. The film stars Gilbert Gottfried, Chevy Chase, Katey Sagal.Colin Ford, Wallace Shawn, Chloe Moretz and James Karen.
Jack and the Beanstalk was issued the "Family Approved" for all ages rating by The Dove Foundation
The film became available on home video in Spring 2010.
Avalon is currently developing their next film, Rumpelstiltskin.
