Austin Dacey

Austin Dacey is an American philosopher of science and ethics. He is the author, with Dr. Lewis Vaughn, of The Case for Humanism: An Introduction, and of The Secular Conscience: Why Belief Belongs in Public Life, forthcoming in 2008 from Prometheus Books.

Dacey is the editor of Philo, a journal of secular philosophy, and representative to the United Nations for the Center for Inquiry. He recently stepped down from the position of executive director of the Center for Inquiry - New York City in order to focus on international relations; particularly, secularization of Islamic societies.
