Attilan

Attilan is a fictional city in the that houses the Inhumans. It first appeared in Fantastic Four #47 (Feb. 1966). It has also been known as the Great Refuge and New Attilan.
Fictional history
Attilan was originally founded in 5000 BC on an island in the North Atlantic by King Myran, was relocated at some point to the Andes; and was later relocated to the Himalayas in the 1950s. At one point, it suffers much damage by the Hulk, who did not want to be there. In more recent times, Attilan was shifted to the Blue Area of the Moon, and later onto Atlantis after Atlantis was raised by Morgan Le Fay. It was once more transported back to the Himalayas under the direction of Black Bolt after deceiving humans into believing it destroyed. Next, Attilan was brought into space by the Kree as a mobile weapon, but the Inhuman population initially elected to remain with it in space. It has of late returned to the Blue Area of the Moon. In the six issue Silent War series, invading Earth forces destroy much of the city It is mostly repaired by the time it suffers another devastating attack, this time by the shape-shifting Skrulls.
In the aftermath of the Skrull invasion, the Inhumans transform Attilan into a space-capable vessel, powered by Black Bolt's voice and leave the Moon. They destroy a Skrull and Shi'ar fleet before blasting right into the heart of the Kree empire. Attilan landed on the capital planet of Hala, where the Inhumans are declared rulers of the empire.
During the events of Infinity, Attilan is invaded by Thanos and his army. Black Bolt and Maximus evacuate the city before destroying it via a self-destruct mechanism, reasoning that this is preferable to allowing it to fall to Thanos.
Known citizens
The citizens of Attilan are known as the Inhumans and have, until recently, little or no contact with the "outside world". Ruled by the Royal Family, most citizens are mutated during puberty by the Terrigan mists.
Other versions
Attilan stands for ten thousand years in the "Ultimate Universe", with only one human being even actually seeing it (his mind is altered). However, in pursuing the re-capture of Crystal, the Inhuman Lockjaw brings the Fantastic Four right inside. Their presence is uncovered. In response to the "contamination" of the city, it is evacuated and Black Bolt destroys it. The Royal Family is seen headed for the moon.
In other media
Television
Attilan is also known as the Blue Area of the Moon & is featured in a season 3 episode of ' called "The Dark Phoenix Saga (Part 4): The Fate of the Phoenix". Here The X-Men must fight The Shi'ar Imperial Guard at an, apparently, abandoned Attilan.
Attilan appeared in the 1994 Fantastic Four animated series under its Great Refuge name.
Video games
Attilan serves as a hub in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Uatu the Watcher transports the heroes in the very last moment before Doctor Doom (with the newfound god-like powers he managed to steal from Odin) kills them. From there, the stages available are a Shi'ar battleship (where Deathbird has overthrown Lilandra Neramani with help from some of the Imperial Guard) and the Skrull homeworld (where Galactus is trying to consume it).
