Atlantic Rangers Football Club
|
The Atlantic Rangers Football Club have been formed directly through the need for development of the game of soccer in New Brunswick. ARFC is dedicated to teaching soccer at the grass roots level. In its short history, ARFC has had many successes under different names, but still retaining its own identity. The development club is run by volunteers with a difference. The personnel have a background in the game and are well qualified to teach and run a development program. The club is set up as a non-profit organization and will only charge the minimum possible fees to allow as many kids to get into the game as possible. The club provides a great insight into soccer at its highest level, introducing kids to basic skills - how to pass properly, how to trap the ball, how to play as part of a team, right up to professional drills and understanding the rules of soccer. Youth soccer in New Brunswick has no development program in place, therefore it is the intent of ARFC to promote the game to every child who wants to play soccer, to excite people about the world's greatest sport. The type of soccer played in NB is mainly kick and run, where teams kick the ball as far upfield as they can from the back. ARFC will develop all areas of the game, bringing a technical skill game that encourages players to play to their potential.
