History
The club was mentioned as an Athletic Football Club in 1930, a little later, it was recognized as a main club. Players of the decades included Georgios Bouras of Domisthini (), Livas Mimis of Kleomenis, Spiros Festas of Konstandinou, Vasileios Moutevelis of Georgiou, Ioanis Moutevelis of Petros, Vassilios Kotaridis of Dimitriou, Andonios Kartsionas of Nikolaos, Dimitrios Moragiorgas, Kostas Moragiorgas, Ioannis Theokas, Grigorios Kotsiaris, Dimitrios Lafazanos, Hristos Yannakoutzos, Ioannis Kotaridis, Ioannis Petropoulos, Konstantinos Kapralos, Dinos Kotsiaris, Giannis Papanikolaou, etc.
The founding of Asteras and History
Asteras Athletic Football (Soccer) Club was officially founded in 1955 with the colors blue and white and the emblems of a shining star in white part and a circe. Some year later, it was definitely inactive until 1971 when it refounded again. In later years, it played in the prefectural first division and first entered the Fourth Division in 1999.
The team played for three seasons with the national division without relegating. After suffering its economic difficulties in 2008, it could not take part in the fourth division, not even the prefectural fourth dviision. Lately in 2009, with the councilling of its athletic residents of the seat relegated to the prefectural second division in the 2009-10 season.
Athletic history
*1998-99: Champion of the prefectural second division with the chief Efstathios Vanikiotis
*1999-2000: Messinia Cup, at the finals with Sperchogeia 4-2 with the head Nikolaos Moulatsiotis and the president Andreas N. Karagiannis then for two continuous terms as mayor of Arfara
*2004-05: Champions of the prefectural first division and entered the first division, heads included Antonis Mavreas and Minas Kakaletris and its president Konstandinos Ath. Katsiabanis and Marios Pan. Koutsioubos.
*2005-06: Messinia Cup, in the final with Asteras-Papaflessas Choras 6-0 with the president: Antonis Mavreas, Minas Kakaletris and Konstantinos Kritikakis and president Panayiotis Dim. Moragiorga
*2005-06: Fourth National Division (6th part): 6th place with 42 points played during 15 games.
*2006-07: Fourth National Division (6th part): 7th place with 42 points played during 16 games.
*2007-08: Fourth National Division (6th part): 9th place with 46 points played during 18 games.
*2008-09: Remained in the Fourth National Division but did not took part not even the prefectural first division.
*2009-10: Prefectural second division
