Asmelash Zeferu

Asmelash Zeferu is an Ethiopian person, who made international headlines after he made his own aeroplane from scratch. He named his aeroplane the K-570, and plans to fly the plane again on November 28, after a failed attempt five months ago.
History
He left Alemaya University campus to join the Ethiopian Airlines Aviation Academy, but he was declined to become a pilot. He had said to the interviewers when he was questioned "That was the turning point. That was when I decided to build my own airplane in order to fulfil my lifelong dream of flight. This was in 2001."
His second attempt will be made, as the first attempt had failed after the propeller had severed from the plane's engine. His aeroplane runs on a crudely designed engine from a Volkswagen Beetle.
