Ashland Skate Park is a skatepark located within Pufferbelly Park in the Town of Ashland in Hanover County, Virginia, United States. Officially opened on November 6, 2004, Ashland Skate Park is the first and only public skatepark in the Town of Ashland, located off Randolph Street behind the Ashland Police Department, between England and Myrtle Streets. Open from sunrise to sunset year-round and authorized to accommodate a maximum capacity of 60 people<ref name='official'/>, the skatepark is enclosed within a chainlink fence with gate, separating it from the rest of Pufferbelly Park. Elements Ashland Skate Park features two quarter pipes with decks at the northern and southern ends, two adjoining funboxes (double-ended ramps with intermediate flat tops) in the center, a split-level box on the western edge, a box on the eastern edge, and a curved flat rail in the northeast corner of the park. The skatepark’s oblong concrete slab, with a longer north-to-south dimension, is set at a very slight incline, sloping lightly downward from the southern to the northern end (though visually nearly imperceptible). The east half of the concrete slab is noticeably rougher, while the west half is palpably smoother and thus faster, affording skaters the opportunity to experience skating on both types of concrete surface.
