Aryanna Strader

Aryanna Strader is a candidate for the Democratic nomination and endorsed Democratic nominee for the 16th Pennsylvania Congressional District. She will challenge incumbent Joe Pitts.
Early Years
Born in 1982, Strader grew up in a poor family in Oregon. The youngest of ten children, she attended public school throughout her life, where she participated in several extracurricular activities. She enlisted in the United States Army in 2001, just after 9/11.
Personal
Strader is married to Dan, with whom she is a business partner. They have two children: Donovan and Camryn.
Political Positions
Women's Rights
Strader supports women's rights, including a woman's right to choose. She supports organizations such as Planned Parenthood. She, like many of her Democratic counterparts, believes that Republicans are attempting to infringe upon those rights.
Economy
A small business owner herself, Strader believes small businesses are the backbone of the economy. She supports legislation that would help small businesses.
Education
Strader is in favor of governmental education programs such as Head Start. She herself received a Pell Grant which enabled her to attend college.
Veterans Affairs
As a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Strader states that she’ll strive to improve veterans’ programs including job placement.
2012 U.S. House Election
Strader filed papers with the Federal Elections Commission on January 24, 2012. She received several endorsements from Democratic groups including the Chester County Democrats and the Pennsylvania Young Democrats. She’ll face incumbent Joe Pitts in the fall.
