Arteon Organization

Conceived in 1986, Arteon Organization is a sanctuary for visual artists, art lovers, designers from various cultures and backgrounds. It has been providing the necessary resources and/or platform for them to: (1) be involved in different social initiatives and local art projects, (2) engage in cultural exchange, dialogue, and networking among founding members of Arteon around the world, (3) interface with other similar-minded organizations that also cater to the same vision and aesthetic, and (4) create or produce work in a variety of forms such as film, audio-video, multimedia arts and website design. The group is also a staunch ally of initiatives relating to the fight against poverty; as well as raising awareness about immediate environmental concerns that seriously affect the entire planet's future.

History
Arteon first emerged in the mid-eighties as an informally organized network of artists involved in various social and artistic pursuits. Founded by NYC-based artist Cesar Llamas
, the group has launched or been part of a variety of exhibitions, fund-raising projects and events in different locations around the world. As such, they have also interacted with other art groups and private institutions such as The Crown Society. Some art works of Arteon members have also been consistently featured in the annual guide of art magazine, Art in America.

In 1999, it was officially registered in New York City as a non-stock, non-profit, non-political organization under the name of ARTEON New York Art Foundation, Inc.

This year, 2008, Arteon Manila was officially established in Cubao Expo, Quezon City. Their advocacy is to teach visual communication and basic computing to underprivileged youth, who have talent or potential in art, graphics, website programming or design.

Among its avid supporters and members are Atty. Mario Alcantara, Alex Alcantara, Dyun Conanan, Amor Lamaroza, Fernando Modesto, Albert Alcantara, Mary Ann Huenefeld, Dr. Esther Angeles, Charlie Cojuangco, Rev. Tito Caluag, Col. Noel Estanislao, Bingo & Yeyet Estrada, Carlo Eustaquio and Sean Wilbur Go.
