Arnulfo Jose Ramos

Arnulfo Jose Ramos (born July 20, 1985) known as AJ "El Kallejero" Ramos is an American music executive, celebrity interviewer and host. He is currently the YouTube’s Latin Artist Relations Manager.
Early life
Ramos was born on July 20, 1985 in Jersey City, New Jersey. The son of a Salvadoran couple, he is considered a first generation immigrant. His father was a truck driver while his mom worked at a factory. He was raised in West New York and attended Memorial High School, where he played basketball and baseball and was treasurer of the student council.
He graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Journalism and Media studies. He later earned a Master’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Kean University.
Career
In 2005, while leaving a nightclub, he met the marketing and promotion director of La Kalle 105.9 radio station. Later that year he was hired by Univision Radio as a street team member where he received his nickname “El Kallejero”. He helped launch Mega 97.9 the first Latin Urban radio station in New York City, and the first Reggaeton radio station in the United States while interning at MTV.
In 2012, Ramos started working for the Spanish Broadcasting System as an On Air Talent, for 93.1 and later becoming the Promotion and Marketing Director for 97.9 while still being on the radio. He also represented SBS in Brazil in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. In 2013, he started working as a radio host in a syndicated morning show broadcast on Sirius XM Latin Rhythmic Channel Caliente in Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States until 2016.
In 2015, he joined  Spotify as the senior US Latin Music Editor, leading music curation and programming in the tropical and urban genres. Ramos currently works at Google as the US Latin and Latin America Artist Relations Manager at YouTube.
As a host and celebrity interviewer, Ramos has interviewed some Latin musicians, singers and other celebrities such as Bad Bunny, Maluma, Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Romeo Santos, Carlos Vives, J Balvin, Jennifer Lopez, Roman Reigns, Floyd Mayweather and George Foreman and has hosted many culturally events and festivals across the world, such as Reggaetón Beach Festival in Barcelona, Spain; Baja Beach Fest in Baja California, Mexico; Soulfrito Music Fest in Brooklyn, New York City; Atlas Golden Fest in Panama City, Panama; Flow Fest in Mexico City, Mexico; Premios Heat Award show in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic; and Spotify’s Viva Latino Event in Chicago, Illinois. In 2020, he was listed as one of the Billboard Latin Power Player, a list that highlights the executives behind Latin music’s explosive move into the pop music mainstream and has been featured on Forbes, Bloomberg, Telemundo and Billboard to discuss Latin Music and Culture.
