Arianna Simpson is the founder and managing director of Autonomous partners, a cryptocurrency hedge and venture capital fund focused on investing in cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and blockchain-based companies. She is also General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz as a partner in their $4.5 billion cryptocurrency fund. Early life and education Simpson was born and raised in Milan. She graduated from Penn State University with dual degrees in international politics and Spanish. Career During 2013, Simpson started her career in the technology field when joining Facebook while working in the global marketing solutions division. It was during this time that Simpson was sponsoring a family in Zimbabwe after visiting, in which she noticed the fees that came with transferring money internationally, this developed her interest in the cryptocurrency field. In 2014, Simpson left her role at Facebook to join the digital asset trust and security company BitGo, Where she worked as an account and project manager. After one year, in 2015, Simpson departed from BitGo and joined Venture Partner Crystal Towers Capital where she is still actively a Venture partner and angel investor. In 2017, Simpson became the founder and managing partner of the cryptocurrency and digital asset hedge fund Autonomous Partners. Personal Life Simpson is based in San Francisco.
