Apocalypse Island

Apocalypse Island is an 89-minute television documentary produced in 2009 and first aired by the History Channel on January 3, 2010, as part of its Armageddon series. The show's premise is that Canadian explorer Jim Turner has discovered what he believes is an ancient Mayan monument on an island off the west coast of South America with a possible connection to the “phenomenon of 2012”. The History Channel sponsored an expedition to the island, and asked anthropologist and adventurer Jeff Salz to join Turner on his return journey to the site. The resulting program was narrated by Robert Davi. The island, not disclosed during the program, is Chile's Robinson Crusoe Island.
