Apocalypse Day

Apocalypse Day are developers of computer games based in Victoria, Australia. The company is a small game production business. They use the program Game Maker to produce games. The company has only just formed, though they have released several games. Their most successful games are the 3D Maze series (created by Shane Dover). Their biggest games to date are in production, which will have a sequel made that links both games together.
Games
Apocalypse Day has made over 10 games, with a few still in production.
Horror Doors
Horror Doors is a quiz game, with a story. It was created by Shane Dover. The objective of the game is to simply answer all questions right. Each question is horror movie based. The storyline as described by YoYoGames.com:
"You wake up in a strange, dark room. There is a stone tablet in front of you, and 3 doors with something written on them in red. You read the tablet, and find out that you have been kidnapped and placed here because of your decisions in life. Now you must use your horror movie intellect to get through this quiz, set up by your captor. You approach the doors and look at them. And suddenly you realise that the things written on the doors are written in blood. You look up and see a sign above the doors, and written in blood on that sign is a question about a horror movie. Let the game begin…"
There are a total of 22, increasingly difficult, questions in this quiz. The gameplay is very simple, just click on the door you believe has the right answer written on it to the question above the doors.
3D Mazes
3D Mazes was Shane Dover's first attempt at a 3D game. Inside this game are two different mazes, one is called the 'Stone Maze' and one is called the 'Red Maze'. The 'Stone Maze' features stone textures for the walls, and a stone-like texture for the floors and ceilings. The 'Red Maze' features red walls and black floors and ceiling. Throughout the game creepy music adds to the tension. The storyline as described on YoYoGames.com:
"You are in a strange maze, the reason you're in this maze is because you have offered to be a part of a science experiment created to mess with your mind. You have to make your way through the maze and get into the end room, there you will pick up your payment of several diamonds. If you don't get through the maze, you will be left there forever."
The mazes are both identical in paths, only the textures have been changed. There has been a sequel made called 3D Maze 2.0. The sequel featured a new maze, with new textures reminiscent of the 'Red Maze' from the original game. The description as described on YoYoGames.com:
"Here is my newest 3D Maze. All of you who played my 3D Mazes game, thank you for inspiring me to complete this new maze. This maze is just as hard as the last ones, if not harder, and this one is a lot darker and creepier. ^_^ HINT: In the menu there is a red box in the corner. Roll your mouse over it and click what shows up. ;) Music: Eclipse"
Both of these mazes were created close together, and both were created with the same codes.
Effects Mixer
Effects Mixer is an effects showcase, created so people could mix effects to create a great looking end product. Every single letter on the keyboard has an effect assigned to it, so when you press a letter an effect shows up. Two different colours for the effects are available in the game, pressing the '2' key will turn the effects blue, and pressing the '1' key will turn them red. The storyline for this game is different to the others, and instead of an actual story the description has a joke:
"Did you really expect an effects mixer to have a story?"
The Effects Mixer was the fastest created game produced by Apocalypse Day, and was completely programmed in two days by Shane Dover. The game has a key which can take screenshots of the current effects shown on screen when pressed.
The game is still partially in production.
Future productions
Apocalypse Day has several games in production. Beta versions of these games may be released before the full game.
Chau
Chau is a platform game which takes place in the same world as Blockular. It is being created by Shane Dover. Chau begins in hell, where a little demon named Chau wants to escape. When he does escape he finds himself in the block world. A group of demons are then given orders by Satan to capture Chau and bring him back. Chau has to avoid the demons and try to find a safe place he can call home. A sequel that is as of yet unnamed will be created for Chau and Blockular, which brings both stories together and both main characters together.
Shatter: Stress Reliever
Shatter has not been in production very long. Being created by both Shane Dover and Mitchell Griffiths, Shatter is a stress relief game, where the aim of the game is to click on various objects on the screen and watch them shatter or explode.
Project Blue
Project Blue is being created by Shane Dover, and follows a storyline previously written by Shane Dover. The game was originally going to be a story, following the mission of an android named simply 'Project Blue'. When a few parts of it were made in Game Maker, Shane Dover decided to make it into a game. Though production has begun and a short beta has been released the creator seems to have stopped creating it, as no new news of production has surfaced for a long time.
3D Interactive World
Perhaps the biggest production attempt Apocalypse Day has strived for, this game has not been properly named yet. It is being created by Shane Dover. 3D Interactive World is planned to be a 3D survival horror game where nearly every object in the game can be used in some way. Not much has been heard of this game, though a short list of what has been created so far has been released:
"1st room: Kitchen
Created floor tiles
Created Kitchen walls
Created Kitchen ceiling
Got the coding worked out for placing objects into the room
Made player and 3D aspect, player begins in Kitchen"
No more is known as of yet.
Chau's Avoision
This game was planned out before Chau, though creation of Chau's Avoision will be delayed due to Chau being made. It is being created by Shane Dover. Chau's Avoision stars the same character as Chau, though takes place in an entirely different world, and follows an entirely unrelated storyline. Chau's Avoision is planned to be a game not unlike Weedalooni, with the character moving right permanently. Objects stand in Chau's way, and you must jump, roll, and avoid them.
