Antony Dundas (born 22 September 1986) is a Scottish darts player and referee who plays and officiates in British Darts Organisation events. His nickname is The Pup. Darts career Dundas began playing darts locally in Rutherglen in November 2004. Within a few months, he had entered the Scottish Open for the first time, losing in the early rounds. Over the following months he continued playing locally before signing up to play for Renfrewshire in the British Inter County Championship, Scotland South Division. Around the same time, he began travelling to various tournaments across Britain with Ross Montgomery. In April 2007, Dundas entered the third staging of the Central Open, held in Bannockburn. He entered both the Men's and Under 21's tournaments. After a good showing in the Men's tournament (losing to George Dalglish in the Last 32), he went on to win the Under 21's title, defeating Dean Lawrie 3-1 in the final. Victory in that tournament led to Dundas being selected to play for Scotland at the 2007 Youth Friendship Trophy in Limavady, Northern Ireland. Dundas played in six matches over two years for Scotland, winning three. He continued to travel the BDO circuit with a group of Scottish players in the following years. His best achievement to date is reaching the Last 32 of the 2009 Welsh Classic, losing 4-0 to Darryl Fitton. He moved to play with East Renfrewshire County in August 2008. He is now the Master of Ceremonies for the county's home games and captain of the Men's B Team. The team is affectionately known as "The Crew". Although Dundas is considered more of a referee now, he still enters tournaments. Refereeing Dundas first began refereeing at Inter-County matches with East Renfrewshire. During the 2008 Forth Valley Masters (seen by many as a continuation of the Central Open), Dundas refereed the Under 21's final. He continues to referee at local tournaments in that area. Whilst on a trip to the 2012 Lakeside World Championships, Dundas was asked to referee at the 2012 Scottish Open. He called several matches there, including the Men's Final between Tony Eccles and Robbie Green. In mid 2012, Dundas was approached to officiate at the British Open. His performance there led to a call up to referee at the 2012 Winmau World Masters. Despite a communication error during the first Men's Semi Final between Wesley Harms and Stephen Bunting, Dundas called the third part of the final between Bunting and Tony O'Shea. He was also the referee when Benito van de Pas checked out the only 170 finish of the latter stages. Other Involvement in Darts Dundas also writes reports and does interviews with players for both the BDO Website and the BDO Players Forum. His first reports were done under the alias "Poison Arrow". This moniker was dropped soon after the new BDO Board were appointed in 2011. Dundas also edited walk-on music for several players during the 2011 World Masters and 2012 Lakeside. Personal life Dundas lives in the Southside of Glasgow, a ten minute walk from Hampden Park. He supports Celtic and currently works as a telephonist for a local taxi firm. He is also a DJ in his spare time. He entered Britain's Got Talent in 2009, but never made it past the first audition. He currently plays darts and dominoes for the County Inn in the Cambuslang & District Darts and Dominoes League.
