Anton Dressler

The clarinetist Anton Dressler (born 8 August 1974), concluded his studies at the Moscow Conservatory under the leadership of Lev Mikhailov and Vladimir Sokolov; at the Bologna Conservatory with Italo Cappicchioni; participated in master classes by Antony Pay, Sabine Meyer & Wolfgang Meyer, Eddie Daniels, Fabrizio Meloni etc. He has won first prizes in competitions such as the “Young Talents of Soviet Union” in Russia, International Competition in Stresa (Italy), “Ponchielli Competition” in Cremona, “ Rovere d’Oro” ( Italy). He was awarded the Diploma of Promising Soloist in International Clarinet Competition in Markneukirchen ( Germany), second price at the International Music Tournament (T.I.M.) and the third prize at the in Rome.
As a soloist he appeared in such countries as Great Britain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, France, Russia, Sweden, Israel and Taiwan, performing with Mischa Maisky, Julian Rachlin, Boris Petrushansky, Itamar Golan, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Daniel Müller-Schott, Ingrid Fliter, Vladimir Spivakov, Pavel Vernikov, Alexander Gindin, Olga Kern, S.Petersburg Quartet, Aviv Quartet, Moscow Chamber Orchestra (K.Orbelian), Four Seasons Chamber Orchestra (V.Bulakhov), Piccola Sinfonica di Milano etc. He participated in different music festivals such as “Festival Dei Due Mondi” in Spoleto, “Portogruaro Festival”, “ Da Bach a Bartok”, “Emilia-Romagna Festival”, “Colmar Festival”, “Four Seasons” in S. Pietroburgo, “Russian Winter” in Moscow etc..
As first clarinet, he collaborated with various orchestras such as "Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra", "Moscow Conservatory Virtuosi"(Juri Bashmet), “Padova e Veneto” chamber orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di Savona, etc.. He also participated in the one-year postgraduate orchestra masterclasses and as first clarinet in different projects of opera and symphonic music at the Teatro Alla Scala, Milan.
Several composers such as Uri Brener, Efrem Podgaiz, M.Bronner, Alexander Rosenblat, Evgeny Galperin, Alexander Tchaikovsky, have dedicated their compositions to Anton Dressler.
