Anna Rikje Rosenthal

Anna Rikje Rosenthal (born 21 February 1987) is an German singer, songwriter and musician. She started doing music at the age of 16, when she discovered the purpose of drum computers. Anna created first electronic masterpieces in her sleeping room. As her influences she counts Kate Bush, Bob Dylan, Madonna and Patrick Wolf.

At age of 17 she met Jan Heinemann of the Berlin based band Seidenmatt. They moved in together and started writing more songs. In 2006 Anna met Timothy LaLonde of The Michelles and married him one year later. Together they have another musical project called Young & Sad, where they connect both sounds, hers and the one of his band. During the years, Anna reached a bigger fan base on myspace, which gave her the oppurtunity to support the Indie-band Of Montreal at some of their German shows in spring 2007.

Currently Anna is recording her debut album together with Jan Heinemann at the keksbox in Berlin.
