Anna Laura Bryan Strider (born September 6, 1989) is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Decatur, Alabama who was named Miss Alabama 2012. Biography She won the title of Miss Alabama on June 9, 2012, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholder Courtney Porter. Bryan’s platform was “PAWS for Autism (People and Animals Working Side by Side).” She has advocated for a bill in the state of Alabama allowing children with autism to take their therapy dog to school. Aides who assist students with autism can be trained to work with the child and the service dog. Alabama governor Robert Bentley signed the bill into law in 2011. Her competition talent was a vocal rendition of the classical aria “Sempre Libera” from La traviata. Bryan graduated with a degree in interior architecture from Samford University in May 2012. At Miss America She won the Quality of Life award and the $6,000 scholarship that goes with it.
