These creatures were created for the Disney film adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and do not appear in C. S. Lewis's works. They are small reptilian creatures with parrot-like heads. They average about a foot in height. True to their name, Ankle Slicers bring down their enemies by slicing through their ankles with sharp hand-held scythes. In the movie they brought down several of the creatures in Aslan's army, including a centaur and a rhinoceros. They were originally created by Weta Digital for the purpose of including small creatures in the White Witch's army, as all of the other creatures were of great size.
