Animal Crossing Online is a computer game you join for free and was released on April 14, 2001, worldwide making it the first game released in other regions but second in Japan as it opened at 10 am pacific time. The target age is from 9 to 12. Due to this, this game is patrolled by paid staff.

Important Events
On April 14, 2001, the game opened with waiting at the train station of the very first town, Animal Forest (renamed at the end of 2007 to Sonic) were 490'000 firecrackers and when Olivia went off the station, along with 1'000'000, most of them from Canada, the firecrackers exploded and on April 30, it had a parade from Town Square to the Beach and their first island started on May 1, 2001 and was known as Animal Island (renamed SuperSonic in 2007) and on August 10, 2001, at 12pm Pacific Time, 4'000'000 firecrackers (4'000'000 players joined beta from April 14 to August 10) exploded, marking the end of beta. On October 31, 2001, the trick-or-treating event happened and was known as Trick or Treat! and 5'289'000 players who were there received 75'000 bells and participated and found Jack, who whenever found him took the pumpkin mask off and was revealed to be Olivia. On December 31, 2001, the human ladder of 6'203'000 players was stacked and Olivia reached the top and shouted HAPPY NEW YEAR! There were actually 6'203'590 players on. There were so much games and fun and in 2002 on April 14, they said Happy Birthday Animal Crossing Online. The countdown on New year's from 2002 onwards was a flying car flew from a helicopter with Gracie in it. In 2004, the Olympics were held on the game as with real life. It has the same amount of sports as in real games. These were some important events.

Closure
On December 28, 2008 on Olivia Speaks, Issue 7'094, she announced that the game is closing and is no longer taking any new players and it will close on Feb. 6, 2009.
