Aniket Jadhav

Aniket Jadhav (born 13 July 2000) is an Indian footballer who plays as a forward for India National Under-17 football team.
Career
Aniket started playing football at the age of 8 years in Krida Prabodhini School, Pune when he was inspired by football coach Jaideep Angirwal who trained Jadhav from 2008 to 2014. Aniket started his professional career when he was selected for Pune F.C. under-15 team. Then he went on to play for Pune F.C. under-17 and under-19 team before he got a call from national team. Aniket was part of Pune F.C. under-19 team that finished as runner-ups in 2014-15 Under-19 I-League. In 2014, former German footballer Paul Breitner watched him closely and selected Jadhav among ten under-16 players who represented India at FC Bayern Youth Cup finals in Munich.
In 2015, Aniket Jadhav was selected for India national under-17 football team<nowiki/> when he was successfully shortlisted after trials in Mumbai, Maharashtra. On September 01, 2015 he scored a hat-trick for India under-17 World Cup squad against Austrian opponents AKA Tirol U-16 team. India under-17 World Cup squad has been touring many countries around the world since 2015 in order to prepare for FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted by India in 2017. On June 24, 2016 Aniket Jadhav scored in a 3-0 win over second division Norwegian club Ullensaker U-16 team.
Playing style
Aniket Jadhav started playing football as a left back but his coach asked him to play as a forward which is his current position. Jadhav is tall, physically strong and technically gifted player who can easily dribble past defenders around the penalty box. He can also play either at left or right wing depending on the situation.
Personal life
Aniket Jadhav was born on 13 July, 2000 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He went to Krida Prabodhini School in Pune where he learned to play football. He considers Brazilian footballer Neymar as his Idol. His favourite team is FC Barcelona.
