Andy Ewings

Andy Ewings (Born August 8 1967) is a Film, TV & Leisure Services Management Consultant. He know resides in County Louth, Ireland with his wife Leone and two children Klara and Conor.

Education

He attended Horndean Secondary School, Horndean, Hampsire; Southdowns College of Further Education and Hammersmith Hospital (School of Nursing), where he trained as a Registered Nurse.


Work

Andy Ewings has had an involvement in Wembley Cup Finals to K Club Ryder Cups, Freddie Mercury Tributes to Justin Timberlake Extravaganzas.

A qualified nurse, he joined the staff of Wembley Stadium’s Medical facility in the late eighties. From 1992, he took over responsibility for the First Aid and Medical Care available within the Conference Centre, Exhibition Halls, Arena and Stadium.

Andy’s involvement with the filming of “Mike Bassett, England Manager” in 2000, as well as his days on “The Bill” a decade earlier, lead him to expand his skill-set even further to encompass TV and Film Safety. Also, contacts made here coupled with his sporting connections, saw him being called upon more and more to organise celebrity appearances for his clients and associates.

Andy remained part of the project team for the New Wembley until 2001 when an offer from an Irish Safety Consultancy company provided a new set of challenges to get stuck into. This move saw him taking responsibility for Event Safety Management at major indoor and outdoor events throughout the country.

In January 2006 he set up a creative hub specialising in tailored service provision for the Leisure, Events, Theatre, Film, TV and Concert Industries.



TV appearances and Consultancies

Andy has appeared in productions such as The Bill as a supporting artist, Mike Bassett:England Manager(where he played opposite Ricky Tomlinson in the opening scene), Snatch-Directed by Guy Ritchie and Helen West starring Amanda Burton. Andy has consulted on safety and frire safety requirements on television programmes such as The Box, Test the Nation (Ireland), Celebrities Go Wild and High Kings.

Andy has acted as the Safety Officer for St. Patrick's Festival in Dublin for 4 years, which has up to 500,000 people attending for the Parade, and concerts in the Phoenix Park, Lansdowne Road, Croke Park and the Royal Dublin Society.
