Andrew Slattery (born 1980) is a contemporary poet. Educated at The University of Newcastle, Slattery's poems appear regularly in magazines, journals and anthologies throughout Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, including .
In 2007 Slattery was awarded a mentorship with poet Judith Beveridge through the Australian Society of Authors. He is a regular at his hometown National Young Writers' Festival where in 2008 the festival celebrates its 10th anniversay with an anthology of writing including works by Slattery, Nick Earls and Sophie Cunningham.
His debut collection, CANYON, is to be published by The Australian Poetry Centre and the Myer Foundation in February 2009..
