Ancestral health

Ancestral health is the study of health from an evolutionary perspective, seeking to learn how the ancestral heritage of the human species and of each individual should guide modern ways of life. Health care professionals, scientists, and others engaged in this study have organized the Ancestral Health Society, which holds an annual symposium and publishes a refereed journal.
Many of the talks at the annual symposium are on diet and nutrition. Some are on exercise, various aspects of hygiene, sleep, environmental influences on health, and other things. Some of the symposium participants advocate the paleolithic diet.
