Amsterdam Mall is a shopping mall in Amsterdam, New York. Originally constructed in 1977 as a single-level plaza, it was converted to an enclosed shopping mall in 1980. Major tenants included The Carl Company, McCrory Stores, Present Comany, Fashion Bug, and Grand Union. The mall also offered a small food court and a four-screen movie theater.
Currently, the mall is a dead mall. Current major tenants include the NYS Labor Department, a Chinese restaurant, True Value Hardware, JCPenney Catalog Store, an off-track betting parlor, and Greyhound bus line office (titled under the local line, Adirondack Trails). Officially renamed Amsterdam Riverfront Center, the structure now features a pedestrian bridge, connecting the center with the Riverlink Park.
