Amrita Rai is an Indian TV journalist presently employed with Rajya Sabha TV as a senior anchor. Personal life Amrita is married to Dr. Anand Pradhan, a professor at Indian Institute of Mass Communication, with whom she has separated and has filed for mutual divorce. She is currently in a relationship with senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, whom she intends to marry after her divorce. Career She started her television career with BAG Films from where she moved to STAR News, now known as ABP News. She has worked with NDTV India and CNEB before joining Rajya Sabha TV as senior anchor. Controversy Pictures of Amrita Rai with senior Indian National Congress leader Digvijaya Singh were released on social media which raised privacy concerns. Both confirmed their relationship and announced plan to marry after Amrita's divorce. Delhi Police registered complaint under section 66A of the IT Act and section 509 of the Indian Penal Code and asked social networking sites to remove the photographs.
