He was also elected as the President of the Indian Students Association in the campus and earned an honorary lifetime membership of the Beta-Gamma-Sigma Society, an association of top management students in the USA.

Entrepreneurial Journey
The launch of the first Shemrock preschool in the year 1989 acted as the stepping stone for Amol Arora’s entry into the field of education. Amol handled the marketing front and helped his mother Dr. (Mrs.) Bimla Arora with the launch of the very first Shemrock preschool in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. After the success of the first Shemrock, the second branch was set-up. The second preschool also did well and it was realized that a good model was built, which was replicable as well.
In 1991, the word franchising entered Arora’s dictionary and it was found to be a good fit with the model. This model allowed to focus on the educational part of running the schools- building better curriculum, better school systems, quality controls, investing the resources - time and energy in Research & Development. Thus, was born the concept of school franchising in India!
After gaining experience from the preschool model-Shemrock, Amol Arora, thought of venturing into the formal school segment in the year 2009. Several parents of the Shemrockites came up with suggestions that the Arora’s should consider entering the formal school segment and replicate the same stress-free learning environment as is made available in their preschool chain-Shemrock. The Arora family then decided to diversify the preschool chain and move into the formal school segment. The new generation couple then conceptualized Shemford Futuristic Schools-the K-12 segment of Shemrock. The educationist couple did not want Shemford to be just another school; rather they wanted to change the education sector in a revolutionary way just as Shemrock had done 25 years ago.
Thus, after doing considerable research on the Indian school systems and the school systems around the world, Shemford was launched in 2009. Shemford grew remarkably within a span of 5 years with 95+ branches in India. This achievement has also been acknowledged by the Limca Book of Records 2013 in the category of “Most Schools Launched in Shortest Time”.
