American Football is the debut release by emo band American Football. It was recorded over 2 days in June 1988 in Private Studios, Urbana, Illinois by Brendan Gamble, who they would again work with, on their debut album . Initially a CD-only release, the EP was re-released on one-sided 12" vinyl in 2008, due to popular demand and cassette in 2017. All three songs were recorded without bass guitar, "The One With The Tambourine" making prominent use of an e-bow towards the end of the song..
