Alsek Air Service is an American regional airline based in Alaska, USA. It operates charter, tours, and domestic passenger service. The United States Department of Transportation, via the Essential Air Service program, selected Alsek Air Service to provide scheduled passenger service to airports in Cape Yakataga and Icy Bay, Alaska, from November 2006 to October 2008. It was selected again for the subsequent period of November 2008 through October 2010. History The airline was established in December 2001. The airline remains a family operated business. The Washington Post and The Seattle Times have referred to this airline as the means to get to Icy Bay. The airline is also noted by the National Park Service as a means to explore Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve.
