Allama Yahiya Abbasi is a South Sudanese international footballer who plays as a goalkeeper and is their number one goalkeeper. He plays for Al-Hilal Football Club Juba. He played against Tusker FC in South Sudan's first ever fixture, and named in the squad for their first officially recognized international against Uganda. He joined the camp on 28 June 2012, and was fighting with Goma Genaro Awad for the number one goalkeeper for the match. He had lost his father in Uganda a few days ago, and just missed out on a spot in the 1st XI as Genaro was favored. Even though, despite this struggles, Abbasi said that he was mentally prepared to regain his place as South Sudan's premier goalkeeper.
