All-Star Karate League

The All-Star Karate League(ASKL) is a martial arts organization headed by Tony Young. The ASKL was established in 1989. The league was formed to give competitors the opportunity to showcase his/her talents and provide a forum for rewarding athletes for their dedication and hard work. The number of ASKL rated tournaments has increased annually and reached 30 in 2007. The notation "ASKL Rated" appears on all ASKL sanctioned tournament flyers. All ASKL members who place first, second, third, or fourth at ASKL rated tournaments receive ASKL points. Mr. Young encourages competitors to enter as many tournaments as possible so he/she can be rated throughout the year.
The tournament year begins January 1 and ends December 31. The top 5 rated competitors in each division are given awards at the end of each year and their names will be submitted to major newspapers and karate magazines for publication.
