Alessandro Venezia (born 17 August 1989) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Club career Venezia made his debut as a professional footballer at the age of 16 with Igea Virtus in Serie C. The next season Venezia was purchased by Gela Calcio in Serie C. In 2008 he was bought by S.S.C. Napoli of the Serie A and played on loan for FC Neapolis for the first six months. In 2011 he played for Valenzana of the fourth-tier Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. Venezia trialled with Romanian Liga I club FC Universitatea Cluj in April 2013 and on his Facebook page, he claimed the club had signed him but the club's manager clarified they had not. Venezia moved to Armenian Premier League club FC Alashkert in 2013, along with compatriot Alessandro Marchetti. Venezia played for Australian club Port Melbourne SC of the second-tier National Premier Leagues Victoria in 2014, making eight appearances and scoring one goal. After the experience in Australia with Melbourne, Venezia signed with Miami United.
