Alefox

Alefox (alternately spelled "Allefox") is a Mozilla based web browser which is available for Mac OS X. There is also a "lite" version for Windows which only replaces the throbber.

Alefox was inspired by Alex Albrecht on the weekly video podcast entitled Diggnation. During Diggnation Episode 55, Albrecht mentioned the Alefox concept as a joke, claiming that if he had a web browser named after him, it would crash only on Macintosh and be extremely secure. Shortly after the podcast was released, a fan of the show StephenCIreland (also known as StephenC_IRL) developed the browser.

The browser is currently in very early stages of development. Shortly after it was released, it was made open source and can now be found on SourceForge.net (links below).
